This comfortable apartment, a stone's throw from the historic Bon Marché department store and the surrounding herd of designer boutiques, is ideally suited for a young couple or single person in search of a quiet Paris retreat in an excellent Left Bank location. The apartment, 3 floors up (without elevator), is located in a Directoire building from the early 1800's with a modern security entrance. The walls of the apartment are lined with an eclectic collection of charming old wedding photgraphs, scavenged throughout France over the decades.

The rue du Regard is just a short street, but is nonetheless home to two former French Prime Ministers and a famous psychoanalyst. Despite its size, it is said to have the city's largest concentration of hôtels particuliers, fabulous French townhouses with carriage courtyards. Mozart once sojourned at a patron's, just across the street.


There is no better location for food shoppers. The Bon Marché's Grande Epicerie, Paris' most exclusive supermarket, provides top quality pastries, deli foods, fish, and exotic products (not to mention top priced cotton swabs and laundry detergent…), while three weekly farmers' markets are held on the Boulevard Raspail just parallel. Sunday's strictly organic market draws trendy crowds from around the city.
