Neuilly - Les Sablons
A home in Paris….It’s just everything you’ll need and more….
Having welcomed guests of various different backgrounds and with varying expectations of Paris for many years now, the ability to identify the features that make a successful apartment becomes second nature.
Those intending to stay for less than a week have little need of an oven for example as they tend to eat out for the duration whereas those staying for a week or more will almost certainly take full advantage of the washing machine and dryer. Other features that are never sneezed at include internet access, a telephone line and of course, the holy ‘elevator,’ a feature not always present but one that entices endless worship from our guests when it is!
If one were to make a list of the most desirable features of an apartment in Paris, this apartment located in fashionable Neuilly-sur-Seine may just embody them all. Spacious and bright, at 60 square meters, this one bedroom modern apartment is a veritable luxury. Accessed by that all important elevator, upon entering the visitor is led through a hall into a fully furnished salon lit by large glass doors which give onto a private terrace. A large leather sofa-bed will entertain peaceful evenings in, while a glass dining table and comfortable dining chairs make the possibility of dinner parties a real reality. The kitchen is fully equipped to cater with full oven, electric stove-top, microwave, refrigerator and freezer making entertaining a delight.
Equally airy is the bedroom whose large built-in wardrobe provides generous storage space for a couple or small family. A writing desk with lamp and internet access provide a home office and a good quality queen sized bed ensures a good nights sleep. The bathroom next door is a haven of clean lines and polished surfaces with the luxury of a bathtub with shower attachment meaning the possibility of both morning ‘douche’ and evening ‘bain.’
The owners attention to small details include the provision of an iron, ironing board and all manner of small items that make for easy living from day one. Add to these details the availability of a parking space and one finds that one has ticked all the boxes in terms of possible needs.
In terms of location, the apartment at ‘Les Sablons could not be better situated for the business traveler and tourist alike. Located in the most desirable of Parisian suburbs, now considered by all to be a part of Paris herself, the apartment is a short walk to both the financial district of La Defense to the East and Porte Maillot with its recognizable Palais de Congress conference centre to the West.
Accessed by the Line 1 metro, one is happily situated on the left ventricle of the Parisian transport system. A direct ride to the Arc de Trioumph (5mins approx), the Place de Concorde (8 mins approx) the Louvre (12mins approx), the Hotel de Ville (15 mins approx) and Bastille (20mins approx), one has literally the best of Paris at ones fingertips.
The locality around Les Sablons is equally enticing with a nearby outdoor food market selling fresh produce three times a week, numerous fancy boutiques for essential fashion purchases and accessories and a host of exquisite restaurants pandering to every culinary desire. Equally close is the Bois de Boulogne, Paris’s largest park located just two blocks from the apartment, which is essentially a thriving city of sporting activity in itself. At over twice the size of Central Park in New York and three times the size of Hyde Park in London, this park supplies the sporting Parisian population with horse-back riding clubs, tennis courts, a swimming pool, children’s playgrounds, duck ponds and 35 kilometers of footpaths! Conveniently, the American Hospital is only around the corner in the event of a pulled hamstring!
To surmise, the apartment at Les Sablons is the Parisian apartment you have been searching for. Well located, fully equipped, easily accessible and tremendously comfortable….Pinch yourself….it’s not just a Parisian dream!
